CoinTurk News EN and U.Today both report on David Schwartz’s comments about blocking disruptive X users, but differ on whether he currently holds the Chief Technology Officer role at Ripple.
David Schwartz, Chief Technology Officer at Ripple, has cautioned the XRP community about posting insults and unrelated cryptocurrency content under his social media replies.
David Schwartz, former chief technology officer of Ripple and one of the original XRP Ledger architects, has responded to claims that he is partially to blame for XRP’s poor performance.
Schwartz stepped away from his day-to-day duties at Ripple at the end of 2025. He had worked at the firm for over a decade. However, he has not completely left Ripple. Earlier this month, Schwartz clarified that he’s still on Ripple’s board of directors and holds the honorary title of CTO Emeritus.
What would settle it: Ripple’s own corporate statement, press release, or executive/leadership page confirming Schwartz’s current title.
Treat Schwartz’s comments about blocking disruptive X users as established since both outlets report them consistently; do not treat his exact current title at Ripple as settled until Ripple’s own statement or leadership listing is checked.
